LEAGUE FORMAT
Each league session will last approximately seven weeks with matches being played once a week during the given day / time. Matches will be 2 sets, no-ad scoring, with a 12-point tiebreak at 6 games all. A super tiebreak (1st to 10 points) must be played in the case of split sets to determine the "third set" winner. Matches must be completed within the scheduled 1 1/2 hour time slot. Please show up promptly, as any extra time given is at the discretion of the shop attendant and/or due to court availability.

Players will be given 3 points for straight sets win, 2 points for a split sets win, 1 point for a split sets loss, and 0 points for a straight sets loss.

Float Matches - Often times, the number of participants in a given league exceeds the number of courts available on the respective night the league meets. Thus, float matches are "rescheduled" matches (they're played anytime other than the night/time the league normally meets). If the schedule states that you have a float match, please contact your opponent and schedule a court time at the Village Tennis Center (though it is not required that you play at the Village). Make sure to state that you're scheduling a float match so that you aren't charged a court fee (see "substitute policy" below). All float matches must be completed by the conclusion of the league.

Promotions/Relegations - League winners are eligible to move up a level to the next highest league. Last place in a 6-8 person league must move down to the lower level.
